Alexander Turobin Alex joined Windmill in February 2019. He graduated from the University of Sheffield with a First Class Masters of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering in 2014.
Prior to joining Windmill he worked for a multinational engineering consultancy in the UK for four and a half years in the fields of bridges, civil structures and geotechnics.
Two notable projects Alex worked on during his time in the UK include Hull Flood Defence Scheme, where he worked on the design of combi-pile retaining walls with 1.8m diameter circular hollow sections, and Werrington Grade Separation, where he led the design of a 50m span steel footbridge and for which he came runner up in the IABSE 2018 Young Professionals Paper Prize and the 2018 ICE Yorkshire Geotechnical Group Presentation Competition. |
